Row of images on maintenance and repair: technicians check the opened media technology of a system, take measurements in the control cabinet, work on a pump group and evaluate system data on screen

When a system stands still, every minute counts.

Service

The value of a system is not decided at acceptance, but in the years after — when a sensor fails, a new component comes or the control system becomes outdated.

A cleaning or deburring system rarely stands alone. It stands in a line, it keeps a cycle, behind it production backs up.

This service is not a department that takes over after the sale. It is the reason why ITR systems remain in operation for decades.

Two ways here

The service answers two different questions

Depending on which system you come with.

You have an ITR system

Maintenance, spare parts, malfunction, retrofit — everything about a system we know because we built it.

You have a system from another manufacturer

We also take on optimization, control system retrofit and retrofit on third-party makes. Every intervention starts with an on-site survey.

Both ways run through a service inquiry of their own, separate from the system inquiry form: maintenance staff with a system standing still need a short, precise route — concern, system, serial number or QR code. The fastest way remains the phone call or the QR code on the machine.

1 · The challenge

Service calls have two causes

And both concern not the system as a whole, but a single point within it.

When the process quality declines

Residual contamination values are no longer reached, particle count or particle size are outside the specification. That is the critical case: the system runs, but the result is no longer right — and quality assurance notices it first.

When a component fails

According to current experience, heating elements and sensors are the parts that are replaced most often.

We do not keep a statistical evaluation of the most frequent wear parts — the statement is based on experience, not on a ratio.

The parts that trigger a service call rarely sit on the operating side: shut-off valves, pneumatic cylinders and media lines lie on the back of the process chamber.

2 · How the service is organized

One point of contact, regional execution

ITR supports its own systems worldwide — service calls take place in Germany, Europe, North America and Asia. The installed base reaches far: more than 1,350 delivered systems in around 30 countries.
  • You always communicate with ITR

One contact, one history, no passing on.
  • The execution is handled by the appropriate regional service partner

Qualified and trained on the systems.
  • Short distances instead of long journeys

That eliminates long travel times, even for international calls.

Response times

We aim for 24 hours. Via the regional service partners, the response time is 24 to 48 hours depending on region and type of malfunction.

For customers with a service contract, a 24/7 emergency service is additionally available.

Scope and the response time binding in the individual case are agreed by contract — the 24 to 48 hours describe the normal case, not a blanket assurance for every system.

3 · What the service comprises

Six services over the service life of the system

Maintenance

Preventive maintenance, service contracts, repairs — intervals according to system and use.

Spare parts

Supply over the entire service life — we support systems that have been running for decades.

Retrofit

Modernization instead of new purchase, when continued operation is economical.

Commissioning

Installation, commissioning, acceptance and operator training at the customer.

Training

Operator training for safe and correct operation.

Remote service

Remote diagnosis to shorten downtimes — in line with your security requirements.

The system reports by itself

Every system carries a QR code. It not only leads to the complete documentation — via it, your staff directly trigger a service message that arrives in our system and is followed up by phone. No searching for the serial number, no form.

4 · The result

We support systems that have been in operation for 30 to 35 years

That is the most reliable statement about the service that can be made: not a promise about future availability, but the verification that spare parts supply and retrofit competence have actually carried over decades.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions about service

How is your service structured?

In three stages: telephone support for control system, mechanics and process engineering, remote diagnosis to narrow down and often resolve the cause remotely, and the on-site call via the regional service partners when a physical intervention is needed. For contract customers, remote diagnosis feeds into the 24/7 emergency service — it is the fastest stage and the only one that works without travel.

Is there a 24/7 service?

For contract customers: yes. The 24/7 emergency service and the shortest response times are tied to a service contract — it is the prerequisite for them, not an add-on option afterwards.

Do you offer service outside Germany as well?

Yes — worldwide via regional service partners. Service calls take place in Germany, Europe, North America and Asia; our installed base comprises more than 1,350 delivered systems in around 30 countries. We aim for 24 hours; depending on region and type of malfunction, the response time is 24 to 48 hours. You always communicate with us — one contact, one history, no passing on.
