2 · Engineering considerations
First calculate, then design
With existing systems, a second consideration is added
Is the modernization worthwhile, or is a new build more cost-effective? That depends on the condition of the system, on the extent of the adaptation and on how much longer it is to run. We also tell you when the conversion is not worthwhile.
With third-party machines, responsibility is settled before the technology
What belongs to the scope of supply and services, what remains with the previous manufacturer, what the contract regulates. Settling this question before the quotation is more uncomfortable than afterwards — and considerably cheaper.
Technically, almost every handling step can be automated. Whether it should be is another question — and we run the numbers on that with you before anything is designed. With low production volumes, frequently changing products, high changeover effort or when the manual solution is simply more cost-effective, we do not recommend automation.
3 · The solution concept
What arises when nothing suitable exists
Special grippers
Where no available gripper fits, we design one. Depending on the task, it is created in our own company or together with specialized partners — there is no tie to a manufacturer.
Retrofit and modernization of existing systems
Existing systems can be extended, converted and renewed in their control system — including systems that do not come from us. As far as technically possible and economically sensible, we design so that the system can follow a future change once more.
Integration of existing systems
Connecting machines from different manufacturers into one line: transfer points, conveying, control system connection, cycle coordination.
Assessment of the overall system
If an existing production line is extended or several systems are integrated into a line, an assessment of the overall system is carried out as part of the project.
We take responsibility for our own scope of supply and services. Responsibility for machines from other manufacturers remains with the respective manufacturer or is governed by the contractually agreed project scope.
That is a clear statement, not a limitation.

Where a task corresponds to no known one, the solution arises from the disciplines we have in our own company — depending on the project:
We use standard components and purchased parts where they make technical sense. The integration and the engineering of the overall solution take place with us.
4 · The result
A solution that cannot be bought in this form
That is our core competence, special-purpose machine building: the development of complete special-purpose machines. We integrate automation where it makes technical and economic sense — also as a project in its own right.
