“How do I reach every part in this batch equally well”
For small and mass-produced parts that would be neither economical nor necessary — they run through the process as a batch. That shifts the actual question: no longer “how do I reach this one part”, but “how do I reach every part in this batch equally well”.
2 · Engineering considerations
The basket is not a means of transport but part of the process
It determines how the parts lie, how the process medium gets through between them and whether areas cover each other.
That makes the workpiece fixture the decisive design element here.
If parts lie unfavorably on top of each other, the same unreachable zones arise as with the spray shadow — only not from the geometry of the component, but from the position in the batch.


3 · How it relates to the other methods
A batch in the basket can be sprayed, immersed or flooded
It is therefore combined with the other methods. With bulk parts, as a rule, a flooding system within a chamber cleaning system is used.

Gearbox housing
