What this list says — and what it does not

It names customers, not projects. Which system went to whom is not stated there, and it is therefore not claimed here. Whoever wants to know whether a comparable task has already been solved gets the answer in conversation — not from a list.

The sixteen are a selection, not a customer base

The range behind them can be outlined without a single further name.

Four tasks, four different answers

All four presented anonymously — for these customers there is no release for naming.

Retrofit of a parts cleaning system

Starting point

The existing system cleaned the component from the outside only.

Task

Inside and outside cleaning, higher requirement, on the existing system base — without a new purchase.

Result

A partial cleaning became a complete process system. Technical target values that had previously been doubted were reached after the conversion.

Robot cell for aluminum cylinder heads

Starting point

An automotive supplier in aluminum die casting manufactures cylinder heads: many bores, hard-to-reach areas. After cleaning, a leak test follows that was already in place at the customer.

Task

Clean, rinse and dry — and hand the components over to the existing test station in such a way that they can be tested there. That included the part temperature: A part that is too warm is not usable for a leak test.

Result

Seven steps in one sequence, from picking up the raw part to handover to the test station. The test station itself did not come from us — our task was the interface to it.

Robot cell for cleaning hazardous components

Starting point

A company processes components that pose a hazard. Before they can be processed further, adhering contamination has to come off — until then by hand, directly at the component.

Task

Carry out the same work step in such a way that nobody has to stand at the component during cleaning. Not faster, not cleaner — without people at the station.

Result

The cleaning process runs entirely inside the protected cell: The robot guides the workpiece, cleans with a high-pressure water jet, dries and passes it on to the next station. Operation and process are thus spatially separated. The gain is not the cleaning — that existed before. It is that nobody stands next to it anymore.

Continuous cleaning system for gears

Starting point

A customer from aerospace has gears cleaned. Technically, a chamber cleaning system would have been possible — at the required production volume it would not have carried the cycle.

Task

Reach the cleaning quality and at the same time the throughput. Both together, not one after the other.

Result

The gears continue to be treated in batches — in the basket — while the baskets pass through the system continuously. The batch process remains, the system cycle per batch is eliminated. The passivation is part of the chain, not a step afterwards.

The fourth case shows why there is no rule “this component, that machine”: The same gear could have been cleaned in a chamber cleaning system. What decided was not the component, but the interplay of production volume, cycle time, batch size and material flow.

These examples remain anonymous. They do not come from the brochure — a release permits nothing about another customer.

What references at ITR verify — and what they do not

They verify experience, not the limits of the portfolio

In special-purpose machine building, references do not limit what ITR can develop and deliver — they show that a comparable task has already been solved.

If a publishable example is missing for an area, that is a question of release, not a statement about the capability.
